My Trip to Australia - Quarantine Day Four #noRona

Day 4 (technically 3) - Tuesday, June 1st, 2021

Positivity of some kind. No, I ain't moving or getting released. My sinuses seem to be normal again. But the only issue is I slept poorly with the temperature of my room being hot/cold all night. Wouldn't it be great if I could open a window during the day to get fresh air in? Seems like a basic Human right, but not here. This is going to take some time to get used to.

I get the phone call for the daily check-in. I will admit I was very dismissive of them. To be honest, unless they can assist me with getting a balcony or moving me to a hotel where I can open a window then these calls to me now are nothing more but the following:

"Ok you know I'm alive, speak tomorrow, see ya!"

I do get the news that I don't have COVID though. I resisted snapping back with:

"I told you so, I know my body"

I am cynical I know but when I got this news all I thought was it was great because if I get COVID from this moment on then I got it in the programme and didn't bring it with me. Also, I have the nasty feeling that Victoria isn't going to end its lockdown on Thursday, not with this kind of fear-mongering,

No way is Victoria reopening at this rate

In the afternoon the fire alarm goes off. We get a PA to remain in our rooms whilst they investigate. I can't help but think that either:

a) someone has cracked and has set off the fire sprinkler in their room, OR b) we're in lockdown because there's a breakout happening.

About 15 minutes later we get the all-clear. But damn no evacuation to the outside air for me. But besides that highlight of the day, nothing more to report. So I leave you with pics of today's meals, it was good to have a toastie for breakfast I must admit.
